What does dance mean to you? I have been dancing for most of my life and couldn’t imagine it any other way! Dance has given me so many opportunities and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without it. It has helped me develop self-confidence, make lifelong friendships and has given me a chance to pursue something I am passionate about. As well, dance has always been an outlet for me to express myself in a creative way and forget about any stress or worries that I may have. Through dance I have learned so many life skills that transcend beyond the dance floor, including time management, dedication and courage.

What is the theme song of your life? I’m pretty much obsessed with country music! I could listen to the same Luke Bryan or Jason Aldean or Luke Combs song for hours on end, literally on repeat. If I had to pick one I would say “Fast” by Luke Bryan. I think life goes by so fast; you have to stop and enjoy every minute of it!

Most memorable dance experience? Dance has created so many amazing memories for me, but if I had to pick one I would say doing a duet with my sister in my grade twelve year. We had never done one before and it was lovely to share the stage with her and bond before I went off to university.  It’s something that I’ll remember forever and it’ll always remain special to me!

If you were a special award, what would it be called and why? If I was a special award, it would be called 110% commitment! I think it’s super important to always put your best foot forward and try your best at everything you do. Dance has taught me the value of working hard, and it’s a lesson I have taken throughout my life.
