Intermediate Ballet Teacher
QDC's Intermediate Ballet Class is designed for dancers with some ballet experience who are looking to continue their ballet training in a fun class environment. A base knowledge of ballet terms and movements would be beneficial to have before starting the class. Each week we will focus on developing our ballet technique while exploring our unique performance styles through barre exercises, centre work, and across the floor exercises. We will also create two performance pieces throughout the year to be performed at the QDC Mid-Year and Final Recitals. Be ready to break a sweat while strengthening your ballet technique in Intermediate Ballet this year!
Year and Program: 4th Year Commerce
What is your favourite part of QDC?: Built on the foundation of a shared love of dance, QDC creates a community where all students can pursue their passion in an open and inclusive environment. I am forever thankful for the laughter I have shared and memories I have made with my amazing QDC family.
What does dance mean to you?: To me, dance means that every person, no matter their skills, ability, or dance experience, is given a moment to shine.
What is your favourite binge-worthy Netflix show?: Suits
What is your favourite dance move?: A jete, because the seemingly effortless move requires much power and force.
What is your favourite place to travel to?: Nice, France (where I studied in the Winter 2018 semester on exchange!)
