Pre-Advanced Lyrical Teacher
Pre-Advanced Lyrical is going to be focused on finding your movements through music and its lyrics (it is lyrical after all!). I hope for you to be able to find your own style and create your own flow of dancing from the choreography and exercises I provide. I am a big fan of stress free dance combinations, as I focus less on the crazy tricks you can do and more on the emotion and happiness that comes from dancing. That being said, it is recommended to have approximately 5-7 years of dance experience for this class. My normal class setup starts with a nice calming warm-up, then some technique or improv exercises, then a combo if time permits! As much as I love dancing though, I do enjoy a good laugh, so having fun is always one of my top priorities as well!

What does dance mean to you? Dance has saved me from a lot of struggles and thoughts that have hit me over the course of my life. I’ve been lead to so many crazy experiences, awesome friends and great family because of dance, and it never fails to keep me strong, happy and courageous (and going to the gym).
If you could live in any city, which would it be and why?: Canmore, Alberta because I love the hiking and mountains. It’s such a beautiful place!
If you could be any Disney Princess who would you be and why? Honestly, any princess that can sing and have dozens of wild animals sing along happily with her is a princess I want to be.
What is your favourite TV show/movie? I adore Lilo and Stitch. I must have seen it at least ten times by now, but it never fails to make me laugh/cry/wish I had a pet alien.
