Advanced Ballet Technique Teacher
Advanced Ballet Technique is for those of you who are looking to continue with your ballet training and have a great time with other bunheads. I would recommend having 8+ years of experience to take this class. In a typical class, we will start at the barre and then move to the centre. There we will practice adage, turning, and allegro exercises with an aim of maintaining and improving technique. In some of our classes, we will learn classical variations and in others, we will do a floor-barre or a stretch. It is my goal that you will enjoy each class and leave feeling rejuvenated, excited for the following week, and maybe even a little sore. I look forward to dancing with you!

What does dance mean to you?
For me, dance has never just been a way to be active and hang out with friends. Though it is an excellent way to achieve both, it has always meant so much more. Dance allows me to surrender myself completely and to forget all of my worries. It is an outlet for creativity and self-expression. I love the feeling of testing personal limits and taking risks to see how far I can push my body. There is no better feeling than this total and complete release. Forming bonds that can only be created by a group that has sweated, cried, and laughed together; dance has provided me with the camaraderie of a team sport, the self-improvement aspect of an individual challenge, and friends for life.
Guilty Pleasure? I love homemade popcorn with butter and endless movie marathons with my housemates!
Deserted Island? I would need my Kobo (eReader), the twins (my brother and sister), and bottomless amounts of sunscreen because I always end up like a lobster.
Secret Talents? This is less of a secret talent and more of a fun(ny) fact: I am a qualified AquaFit instructor, and I really enjoy teaching the elderly ladies their water aerobics. (I almost always slip on the deck though, because I am jumping around too much!)
