Intermediate Hip hop teacher
Hi everyone! Intermediate Hip Hop is going to be full of sweat filled fun! During this class we will be learning choreography that corresponds with both lyrics and beats of various songs. My aim is to teach combos with different song types so that everyone can get a taste of many different hip hop vibes. My style is mainly hard hitting and a bit fast paced, but everyone is encouraged to add their own spice/flavor to make it their own. It is recommended that people who join this class have at least 2 years of hip hop experience, but as long as everyone has a positive attitude and a good work ethic, it is very possible to succeed. Can’t wait for a lit dance year!!
Year/program: 3rd year Life Sci
What does dance mean to you? To me, dance means growth and community. Dance has allowed me to grow as a person and move out of my comfort zone. The dance environment has always been a very supportive and comfortable place that provided me with a community where I could be 100% myself. Without that, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
What is the theme song of your life? Don’t worry be happy -Bobby McFerrin
Most memorable dance experience: One of my routines included drum sticks and I dropped one of them on stage at a competition. I had to then pretend hit my drumsticks together. Don’t worry though, I ended up picking up the drumstick and continuing on. Most stressful day of my life.
Picture this: you fall on stage and the photographer managed to get a shot of you mid fall. What would you caption the picture? I believe I can flyyyyy –R.Kelly
